Moto Z flagship smartphones don’t have standard headphone jack. This resulted into a thinner smartphone and Lenovo Moto Z smartphone body thickness is only 5.19 mm.
June 12, Lenovo released new smartphones in Tech World Congress, including new flagship Motorola Moto Z and Moto Z Force smartphones. Both phones support Moto Mods magnetic connection technology and can be connected to JBL Sound Boost music, Insta-Share Projector projection etc. Only Few people noticed that Moto Z removed a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the launch ceremony.
Lenovo was ready to remove the standard headphone jack, but was quietly implemented, they did not even mention it in the launch ceremony on stage. But rather focuses on the ultra-thin thickness of these two phones and modular functions. Lenovo’s Moto became the first smartphone company to remove the headphone jack. Although some small Chinese smartphone manufacturers have previously done so. There are rumors that Apple will cancel the standard headphone jack in iPhone7, and facing lots of criticism for this update.
Removing standard headphone jack resulted into a thinner phone but Moto Z Force to be a bit thick as jack is included to this mode and thickness of Moto Z Force is 6.9 mm. Hence Lenovo says No Headphone jack!
